Bush's “conscience” clause as pertains to abortion policy. Attorney General Eric Holder revealed a shift in medical marijuana policy – the feds will stop raiding dispensaries and let states take the reins for themselves. An al Qaeda suspect held as an enemy combatant will finally be given a civilian trial, which is good for him, though some people say the move is an end-run around having to actually end the enemy combatant policy. They also asked a federal judge to continue the Bush-era policy of immunity from prosecution for telecom companies. He unveiled his budget plan earlier this week sparking cries of classism. Rachel Maddow did a nice piece on the budget last night showing the winners and losers.

Unfortunately James Dobson

Unfortunately James Dobson will just be replaced by another homophobic moron ...

We have our own 'Focus on the Family' here in NZ - a group called 'Family First'. Slowly these American style Christian 'family defender' groups are setting up shop here ...

Every time our nations news team, needs a 3 second soundbite (regarding anything with 'moral implications') - Family First gets free publicity ... Ugh!

Why, yes, she is Grace, in that she thinks she is a normal average Republican, who represents the people, kind of way. I can't stand her.

And in other news...

James Dobson has "resigned" from Focus on the Family. While he will no longer hold any official title in the organization, he will remain in control of the flagship radio broadcast, as well as the monthly newsletter, and will continue his public speaking appearances.

My job went to Crazy Town

My job went to Crazy Town this week, so I have nothing extra on the news. I tried to find out how much snow was dumped on us yesterday, but I can't find the weather report on the Star Tribune's front web page. One would think that Midwestern newspaper would have a link for WEATHER on its front page. Maybe I'm just too tired to find it.

I'm crabby tonight.

Still searching for the right brainy quote.

Santa Fe and Taos are both very gay, so it's especially lame that they'd do this.

It's my understanding that

It's my understanding that President Obama has left himself open to the idea of re-deploying some soldiers to other Middle East locations, if necessary.

I suppose that's a political necessity, you know...just in case. Sad

This is just one more reason why human/civil rights can not be left up to the discretion of individual states. Human/civil rights should never be 'up for a vote'.... Ignorance and bigotry, in this country, guarantee's everyone in the LGBTQ community that equal rights will never happen as long as ass-hole, political, cock suckers make these decisions. Oh yeah, that includes the ignorant... ass-holes, that elect the ignorant.... ass-holes.

FUCK NEW MEXICO......

Shouldn't we be boycotting this ignorant, fucking - pig - headed state??
The question wasn't even about 'marriage'.... this was simply about domestic partnerships.

Fuck them, I am going to sell my property in New Mexico. I refuse to support a fucking state like that....... mother - fucking - redneck - backwards - pieces of shit.

It's interesting how the state of New Mexico, and the city of Albuquerque, has 'sweet talked' so many "Hollywood" studios into shooting in the new studios that have been built in Albuquerque. Huge tax incentives, etc. I guess they don't mind having the gays work there, and make their state some cash....... Well, I know for a fact that this won't settle well with Sony Pictures Entertainment. Sony just opened a facility there....Sony is very LGBTQ friendly.

Once again...........FUCK NEW MEXICO !!
