you can watch it right here

...is there some kind of anti-american video chip in your computer that prevents you from watching the clip right here, where it's posted? you can also watch glee (and all the lil extras) at www.hulu.com. No worries!

Folks who live outside of the

Folks who live outside of the US generally can't watch videos on Hulu or websites for American TV networks. It's not their computers, it's that those sites have built-in IP trackers. If your IP is outside of the US, it won't let you watch.  Sad

those bastards!

fo' realz??? that seems, so, so...so fundamentally contrary to the basic nature of the internet! Boo! It seems to me that if I can watch Sugar Rush on youtube, then peoples in the UK should be able to watch Glee. Seriosuly, this is like, Chinese government type mishegos! (that's yiddish for crazy shit!)

It sucks, but it makes business sense

Presumably it's about licensing and distribution rights between the studios that own the TV shows and the networks who pay to air them on TV and online. The licensing rights for those properties would be totally separate in other countries. Blah blah. As a fan, it blows. As someone who believes in people who make movies and TV shows being paid fairly for their work, I get it.

geek4grammar's picture

well when you say it like

well when you say it like that, julia, it's hard to argue. I guess I didn't realize that there were licensing issues w/ online streaming video content that wasn't fee-based (i.e., HBO or showtime customers get access to the same content online, but I don't expect to be able to watch it fo' freeziez). It's just a lil counterintuitive...but yeah, I don't have an advanced degree in intellectual property law (talk about brave new world!)

LoL  Me neither. Call me an optimist, but I've started to take babysteps into figuring out how screenwriters and other industry peeps get paid!

Aww. They showed it at the

Aww. They showed it at the very end of the ep, as sort of a bonus featurette. It's supposed to drum up excitement for next week's all-Madonna, all the time ep. Soooo excited for that one!

didn't know where else to put this

it's too long for a note so......

Bones Opening scene *paraphrasing

Night time - 2 girls (20 somethings) walk into a barn

girl 1 - "i've only been here with boys!"

girl 2 - "me too but that katy perry song really appeals to me!"

they spread a blanket on the hay covered floor and lay down

girl 1 - "so just kissing, no touching..."

girl 2 - "just what's in the song"

their lips almost touch when out of no where a skull comes flying and hits girl 2's face leaving a gooey maggotty trail on her cheek.

so bones and booth go to check out the scene

local lady sheriff says "....two girls came here together...the raccoon was wearing the skull....blah blah blah"

booth - " two girls?!?! whaaaaa?"

local lady sheriff - "it is the 21st century, get over it."

the rest of the epsiode was bones in her delightfully awkward self. the best was when she goes into the creepy janitor's closet full of knives and dead things and says "i have such fond memories of this place." emily is now becoming my favorite deschanel.

so win for it's the 21st century burn but lose x10 for the katy perry thing. like really? are you fucking serious with that bullshit? and it is totally not believable dialogue for anyone in their mid twenties c'mon now. it was dark but they were definately not teenagers.

I saw that

episode too... I was glad when the maggoty scull smucked her in the head and would have hugged the racoon for running into her if I could have. But then I thought - is THAT what they're saying will happen if you're not a good girl? You'll get hit in the head with a scull??

~ love how the janitor was played by the original Freddy Krugger actor - Robert Englund ~

Had a dinner guest

Had a dinner guest (preproduction meeting for my next film) and totally missed Bones tonight but will have to make it a point to check that out.

In defense of the show, last season Angela was dating a female artist.  Not that there was a lot of relationship development but the show isn't really known for that anyhow.

ShadowCat's picture

don't get me wrong

i really like this show but the beginning was just so absurd i couldn't believe it was really happening.

Oh, how much do I love

Oh, how much do I love Glee...."Ladies, I misjudged you. You may be two of the stupidest teens I've ever encountered, and that's sayin' something. I once taught a cheerleading seminar to a young Sarah Palin." Sue Sylvester

As someone who watched the original obsessively about 1000 times back when it came out at the height of my Madonna fanaticism, I can confirm that yes, that was a shot-by-shot duplicate. I especially loved the teeny tiny tweaking of the lyrics at the very end. OMG. "William Shuester, I HATE YOU!"

holy craptards!

i love sue sylvester infinitely, now!
