Democracy Now's Coverage of Libya & Egypt Protests

Yesterday the nation took a moment of silence to reflection upon the many tragedies of 9/11. Thousands of people have died as a result of an event that has its origins in religion and religious conflict.

Later in the evening we were informed of another conflict overseas, this time resulting from an American produced (with over "100 Jewish donors") Anti-Islamic film entitled "Innocence of Muslims," by Sam Bacile. The film itself has been finished for over two years, but has only recently sparked interest from its coverage overseas. Hundreds of protestors swarmed the American consulate and embassy in Libya and Egypt, respectively.

Democracy Now's coverage of the protests and the deaths of four Americans is below in full:

From my understanding Bacile

From my understanding Bacile isn't Jewish -- but I am fascinated by the financial backing of the film...even though we know, from the Great Bayne, that cinematic investments range from the far and wide to the wierd and eccentric or unassuming.

Nevertheless, something occurred such that a 14 min clip of the film hit Youtube and the media pounced on it...the non-American media, that is.
