Glee's Power of Madonna Episode: Music Preview!

HOLY CRAP, Parker Gleeksters! It turns out that all of the music from this week's upcoming Madonna-song-centric episode of Glee is being released as a stand-alone soundtrack album. And you can already listen to it right over here.

The "Borderline"/"Open Your Heart" mash-up is soooooooooooo rad. For real. It's reminding me very much of the good ol' days when my sister and my cousins and I used to dance around in our "Like a Virgin" video best, lip-syncing the lyrics to "True Blue" into our hair brushes. And the boys singing "What It Feels Like For a Girl"?!?! Hhhhhot. Not to mention? GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! More importantly? RAD.

I'm still listening to the rest, but wanted to get this posted STAT so we can gleek out like the big happy family that we are... just like these clowns!

We are so neglected...

in the UK...we have only just started cottoning on the genius of Glee and it is safe to say we are hooked! I have to shush my gf when it is on...and then spend the entire episode singing...much to her disgust!

The box set of Series 1 is on my wish list...and will soon be on my "bought it" list!

And the Gleek shall inherit the Earth!

Thank you Julia!

I am having the awesomist time this afternoon surfing the net to the Glee soundrack.  Smile

(the weird thing is that when the music occasionally stops I hear FIFES and DRUMS--because there's a "Patriots Day' parade here complete with a Minutemen vs. Brits battle and a guy on horse commemorating Paul Revere's ride!)

Yet another reason why Texass sucks.

No old fashioned patriotism with all the comical trimmings. And no, Tea Bag parties do not substitue.

freaking awesomeness :)

I know, I've been completely juiced for this ever since they showed the preview w/ lea michele singing "like a prayer." that was definitely my favorite madonna song & video when I was a kid-- I remember staging my own music videos of this in, what, first grade? on my "LA girl" exercise mat with the little wristbands and legwarmers...who else remembers that???

can't wait to see the full glee version w/ the visuals. and, yeah, pretty much ditto to everything you said!!! I have to admit I am a little disappointed that quinn isn't singing the lead on "like a virgin;" just kind of assumed she would. but I'm sure it'll all be beyond awesome once I see it all in context (and I wouldn't be a true gleek if I didn't have insanely specific opinions about who should sing which numbers, I guess!)

Jules!

Now that I am gleefully hooked, where can I go on the net and catch up on the past Glee eps? I'd like to start from the beginning and work forward. Don't want to start this like I did TLW: season 4, season 2, season 3, season 1....although, now that I think about it, it made perfectly good sense in that order....

Yo

Yo, I listened to some of the song, Jules. The cast does a smashing job with Like a Prayer. Smile

I hope they offer that Jane Lynch video of Vogue on iTunes too.

Still searching for the right brainy quote.
