About Twinkler Forever, Sparkler Forever:
The featured images are from a recent solo exhibition at Skylab Gallery. The exhibition, Twinkler Forever, Sparkler Forever, presented new, towering textile work by artist, Bradley Weyandt. Gauzy depictions of archetypal bad boy blood suckers were humbly knit by the artist, then tautly unfurled across fields of nails. Meticulously crafted of reflective Mylar, the intricate textiles conjure the enigmatic essence of immortal beings, like an Edward or an Angel, evoking an enchanting and seductive power, beckoning one to fall prey to a world where shadows dance with desire and darkness holds an irresistible allure.
About Bradley Weyandt:
Bradley Weyandt is a visual artist living and working between Columbus, OH and Pittsburgh, PA. Weyandt received his MFA from the Ohio State University in 2022. A recipient of the Ohio Arts Council’s Individual Excellence Award, Weyandt’s work has recently been included in exhibitions at The Sculpture Center of Cleveland, OH; Skylab Gallery, 934 Gallery, The Ministry of Culture & Tourism, and ROY G BIV Gallery of Columbus, OH; SPACE Gallery and 937 Gallery of Pittsburgh, PA; and The Westmoreland Museum of American Art of Greensburg, PA.
