Go Brooklyn Art: Miriam Cabessa

As we count down to the #GoBrooklynArt weekend, today’s featured artist is Miriam Cabessa.

As we count down to the #GoBrooklynArt weekend, today’s featured artist is Miriam Cabessa. Cabessa brings an international flavor to the open studios, having been born in Morocco and raised in Israel, Cabassa now lives between New York and Tel Aviv.

Cabessa puts her whole body into her paintings, literally, by painting with her bare hands. Cabessa creates ethereal abstract textile-like atmospheres. Cabessa is a winner of numerous awards including the coveted inclusion in the Venice Biennial in 1997.
