Lady Gaga Escorted by Katie Miller aka PSCC, Takes on DADT at VMAs

Okay so we were all a-gaga when the Lady arrived at the VMAs with our very own PSCC, Katie Miller on her arm!

Okay so we were all a-gaga when the Lady arrived at the VMAs with our very own PSCC, Katie Miller on her arm!

Early last week in Washington D.C, Lady Gaga met with LGB service members affected by DADT. She decided to use her platform at the MTV Video Music Awards to support the efforts of SLDN, the org devoted to the repeal of the military’s discriminatory policy.

The Senate under Harry Reid has the opportunity to take up the National Defense Authorization Act that could potentially repeal DADT — the vote could come up next week on September 20th. If the senate decides to punt on dealing with the Defense Authorization bill, the fear is DADT won’t see the light of day for another few years. You can read more analysis in Kerry Eleveld’s post at the Advocate.

Gaga appeared at the VMAs with former U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. David Hall, former Air Force Major Mike Almy, and former U.S. Army Sgt. First Class Stacy Vasquez, who were discharged under DADT, and of course former West Point cadet Katie Miller.
