I’m reposting this interview with Le Tigre, because it seemed appropriate to dig it out of the archive. Although the band has been on an extended hiatus a new documentary, Who Took the Bomp? Le Tigre On Tour, debuted at SXSW Film and Music Conference earlier this month. The Film will show at the MoMA in New York on April 4th.
JD Samson with Johanna Fateman, had just started the group MEN when this video was shot, and since has been out on tour (several CDs later) with their latest release, Talk About the Body. A friend of mine had seen them a couple weeks ago in Williamsburg and hasn’t stopped raving about the show. So add that to your Spring must do list.
Also the Kathleen Hanna Project, the doc about Kathleen by Sini Anderson, which has been in the works for the last year, is still in the works. We hope to see that film out later this year.
