Velvetpark Media is a 501(c)3, registered in the state of New York.

Our Mission is to serve as a platform for artists, writers, academics and activists in the LGBTQ+ community through multi-platform publishing and an artist residency program.

Since 2002 Velvetpark Media has been historically dedicated to fostering queer women, lesbian, bi, transwomen and non-gender conforming individuals in the arts, academia, and activism.

Today, our mission is to serve as a safe space for expression, exploration, and intellectual debate about issues pertaining to the broad spectrum of our LGBTQ+ community. We are invested in promoting and disseminating the artistic, literary, intellectual, and spiritual work LGBTQ+ people. Our community is inter-generational, interracial, feminist, and queer.
