Say what you will, but I think Terri Gross—host of “Fresh Air“—is the best interviewer in media even above *gasp* Rachel Maddow. Anyone listen to her show with the religious zeal as I do? She makes NPR worth donating to. No one and I really mean no one, has the skill of asking challenging questions while disarming the interviewee the way Gross does. This is the Gandhi principle at work.
Its rare you ever see the tiny lady out from behind her big radio voice, but here she is with Stephen Colbert (who even, he, goes easy on her.)
