About Me:
Gloria Oladipo is a playwright, critic, and journalist based in New York, proudly hailing from Chicago, IL. She writes Black comedies about Black women, exploring themes of caregiving, mental health, and trauma through a mix of realism and absurdism. She is a 2022-2023 Dramatists Guild Foundation Fellow, a 2022 National Critics Institute fellow, and founder of the Veterans’ Playwriting Project with Steppenwolf Theatre. Her plays include The Care and Keeping of Schizophrenia (and Other Demons), The Good Victim, The Forever War, and other works.
